Gemstone Rhapsody is a free game. Your progress stays on your device. The app shows optional, player-initiated rewarded ads through Google AdMob and offers optional in-app purchases, processed by Apple on iPhone and iPad, and by Google Play on Android. We, Wycliffe Partners Limited, run no servers and hold no account data about you.
The following is stored locally on your device only (on-device storage through Capacitor Preferences, on both iOS and Android) and is never transmitted to us:
You can erase all of this at any time in-app: MY PROFILE → SETTINGS → Delete my data.
If you allow notifications, the game schedules up to two reminders on your device. They are created and kept on your device only; nothing about them is sent to us or to anyone else, and you can turn them off in your device's notification settings.
Gemstone Rhapsody uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded ads (for example, a "rescue" continue or a score doubler). Ads only play when you choose to watch one. To serve, cap and measure ads, Google may collect:
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies: see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob apps.
This works differently on the two platforms, so both are set out below.
Gemstone Rhapsody asks for your permission to track, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. The prompt appears shortly after you first open the app.
If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show you adverts that are more relevant, including adverts informed by your activity in other companies' apps and websites.
If you decline, or if you have not yet answered, every advert request the app makes is non-personalised, and Apple's Advertising Identifier is not made available to us or to Google.
You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
The app also supports Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework for advert attribution.
There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt on Android, and the iOS setting described above does not exist on an Android phone.
On Android the app declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission, which lets Google AdMob use your device's Google advertising ID to deliver, cap, measure and personalise adverts.
You control that identifier in your device's own settings, normally under Settings › Google › All services › Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version). There you can reset the advertising ID, or delete it so that apps receive no advertising ID at all. Where your device offers it, you can also turn off ad personalisation, and AdMob will then serve non-personalised adverts.
Whether or not you allow tracking, Google receives a device identifier that it uses to deliver, cap and measure adverts, as described above and under Google's own policies.
The app includes the GameAnalytics SDK to measure how the game is played in aggregate: sessions, progression, and whether players return. It generates its own random identifier, stored on your device. GameAnalytics does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier or Google's advertising ID. It receives no name, no email, no contact details, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Gemstone Rhapsody offers optional consumable bundles of Notes (in-game currency spent on in-game content and on items that assist a run).
On iPhone and iPad, all transactions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms. On Android, all transactions are processed entirely by Google Play and are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.
On either platform we never see, handle, or store your payment or billing information, and neither store provides us with personally identifying purchase data.
Gemstone Rhapsody is suitable for all ages (4+ on the Apple App Store). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is delivered by Google AdMob in accordance with its policies. Adverts are non-personalised for anyone who declines the tracking prompt or has not answered it. If you have allowed tracking and wish to change that, you can do so at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you believe a child's data has been collected improperly, contact us and we will work with our ad partner to address it.
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, most requests concern data held by Google. See Google's My Ad Center and privacy controls. For anything on your device, use MY PROFILE → SETTINGS → Delete my data in-app, or contact us below.
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (for example, adding a new SDK) will be reflected here before they ship.
